From years of music, marriage and life, Pete (guitar, vocals) and Kerrie (vocals, percussion) combine to form a unique blend of musical influences and styles known as The Arthur’s. Pete’s Aussie song writing has been embraced worldwide through Australian band Junior. Pete captures the heart of Australian people and now in The Arthurs he continues to showcase his unique Australian story-telling style. Reminiscent of Paul Kelly & John Hiatt, Pete’s songs have an instant appeal with catchy hooks and lyrics that paint pictures with a space for each listener. As a woman, wife, mother and friend, Kerrie connects with our feelings of love, joy, pain and peace. Influenced by writers such as Sheryl Crow and Jewel, Kerrie’s songs have compelling melodies, which encase life as told through her eyes. |

The Arthurs have 40 years experience between them. Starting at 11 years of age, Kerrie has toured Australia singing in Churches, Pubs and Nightclubs. Always writing and singing, Kerrie has provided vocal coaching, session singing and harmonies on over 10 CD’s and released her debut CD in 2001. Joining the same band as Kerrie at 21, Pete found his niche in life and has taken it with both hands. Pete was part of the successful Children’s duo Ricky & Pete, has toured the USA with his band Junior and has been involved in recording for 11 years with 7 albums to his name. As the principal songwriter for Junior, Pete has toured Australia and America and shared the bill with artists such as The Indigo Girls and Paul Kelly.
Together they have a distinctive sound. Pete’s voice edged with regret and Kerrie ‘s smooth and engaging. Encompassing the breadth of life, their songs and performances range from reflective and broken to fun and energetic.
Since forming in early 2003, The Arthurs have performed with Merri-May Gill and Women in Docs, and regularly perform in South Australia.
